Extended-length spiral-point taps are specialized cutting tools designed for deep-hole machining and confined spaces. By extending the shank (typically by 50–150 mm) compared to standard taps, and combining this with a spiral or spiral-point flute geometry, they solve the challenges of threading where conventional taps cannot reach.
